Just a quick post tonight. I'm exhausted.
Firstly I lost 200g this week which was a bit surprising. I have been pretty good and have kept up with the exercise 5 times a week, so frankly I was a bit annoyed with such a small loss. Oh well, I guess it all adds up.
I have spent the whole weekend washing bedclothes, pillowcases and kids hair. Yes we have head lice in our household. Ewwwwwwwwww.
I know there is nothing you can do to avoid it, but what a pain. I noticed Jarryd scratching on Friday and upon closer inspection I realised he had it. I checked the girls and Nikki has it as well. Thank goodness Ashleigh is clear so far. She the one with the really long hair so I dread it if she gets it too. When I went to the chemist, they said it is a really bad time of year for it. It makes me itchy just thinking about it!!
I've only ever had to deal with this once before when Nikki was in reception. So not a very fun weekend here.
I will catch up with a longer post during the week. I still have a load of washing to put on the line and kids lunches to make for tomorrow. Oh the joys of motherhood.
WILL WE GET A FIRM OFFER SEALED?

Lice is one of my fears since Mikayla started school. congrats on the loss it all adds up and seen you had a big weekend lst weekend that is great. cathc up soon
NITS! They are one thing I simply HATE about school... we had them on and off with one daughter in particular, her class had a child in it that was never de-nitted and that kid kept re-infecting everyone! It was so horrible and so expensive! So far with our two newest littlies we havn't had nits, and they are both at school now. I hope you eventually get nit free, keep an eye out though, cos they are everywhere! Start scratching now...
Oh no, how awful. I have never had them, touch wood, with three kids, I am surprised. I have read though, that the best remedy is just to comb through cheap white conditioner. Much better than using horrible chemical things. I have also read, that they (nits) can't live on anything other than their host, so being pedantic and washing everything in sight isn't necessary, although I know that's just a normal thing you would want to do.
I hope they are 'denitted' quickly. Like the pp said, it's so often from a single child who just isn't looked after properly. Very sad...
You will have a good loss next week Tina, I am sure of it. That generally happens. Stick with it, you are doing so well.
Yay Tina! A loss is a loss is a loss! And yup, they all add up! :) Keep up the great work!
Lice?! EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! Don't wanna even think about it! Hope it clears up soon!!
Kate :)
a couple of years ago I got them!!! I thought for sure I had gotten from the kids, but neither of them had it! At the time I was working in a shoe store and it was 'back to school' week, so I must've got it from the kids I was fitting with school shoes...should've put in a worker's comp claim (except then I would've had to admit I had them!!) lol
Since we use a different measurement system over here, 200g sounds like a BIG loss! :) So congrats! :)
i have fond memories of having lice as a 6 year old. my sister also had lice and we were kept home from school. dad made aus a see-saw in the backyard from old wood and a drum. it was cool!
